PLEASE VISIT OUR INDIEGOGO CAMPAIGN FOR SHORT FILM DEATH IS NO BAD FRIEND ABOUT ROBERT LOUIS STEVENSON:
For Death Is No Bad Friend, we will be recreating historic locations — places that Robert Louis and Fanny Stevenson really inhabited and/or visited. All these locations exist within San Francisco and Northern California. We hope to capture this period of the Stevenson’s lives by incorporating the beautifully preserved and restored Victorian homes of San Francisco.
To give you a better idea, here are a few examples…
- 608 Bush Street, where Robert Louis Stevenson lodged from December 1879 to March 1880. Unfortunately, this structure appears not to be the one in which R.L.S. lived since it is of Edwardian (1901-1910) design.
- Portsmouth Square, where Robert Louis Stevenson spent many hours. A monument commemorating R.L.S. now stands in the square.
- Mount Saint Helena, where Robert Louis Stevenson honeymooned with Fanny in 1880. The surrounding area is now known as Robert Louis Stevenson State Park.
