OCTOBER 17th THROUGH 19th!

Birthday NYC 22

Since my dad had some free hotel nights, my parents, sister, and I visited New York to celebrate my mom’s birthday and mine!

*************************

Havana Central: We were all starving by the time we got to Havana Central, so the food tasted especially good. I’ve been to this restaurant once before and it has such a great ambiance — now it feels like being on the set of Boardwalk Empire season 5! Plus, since it was an off time, it wasn’t as noisy as it can be.

Hedwig and the Angry Inch: This was my official birthday present! I’ve loved Hedwig ever since I saw the movie in 2001. We were only a few rows back, dead center, just far enough away to avoid being spit on. Michael C. Hall was absolutely incredible in the role and Lena Hall was perfect as Yitzhak. This was truly a once in a lifetime experience!

MoMA:

These were two truly inspiring exhibits! If you have a chance to visit NYC before March, I would seriously encourage you to go. 😀

Blue Fin: One of my family’s favorite NYC restaurants — we always seem to go here on family trips. They have the most amazing sushi!

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time: Another amazing Broadway show. I read the book when it first came out, and they did a fabulous job translating the book to stage. 🙂
